Volt Athletics raises more money to fuel the growth of its online fitness platform.

The Seattle-based startup raised an additional $ 1 million from anonymous angel investors to bring the total funding to $ 2 million for the two-year company.

The new money will be used to develop Volt’s platform, which offers a customizable online fitness training platform for athletes, and will help the startup expand into new markets.

“When we first entered the digital sports performance market, we had to introduce many coaches to the concept of leveraging an online platform to deliver strength training,” said Giuliani. “Now we have to meet the demand. “

Founded in 2011, Volt now has 30,000 athletes on more than 1,300 high school, college and professional teams in the United States and Canada using its software, which is recommended by the National Strength and Conditioning Association. The company, which partnered with USA Football in July, employs 16 people in Seattle.
