New ‘Revolutionary’ Fitness Studio Set to Open at Former Nottingham Harvester Site

A fitness revolution that has swept America is heading to Nottingham later this month – opening on the site of a former Harvester.

Orangetheory Fitness, with more than 1,200 studios across the United States, uses science, coaching and technology to “ensure” optimal results from the inside out.

The new studio will be based at Castle Bridge Road, with two floors of high-tech equipment for a mix of endurance and muscle-building programs designed to meet specific member goals.

Ten new jobs will be created by the company, which aims to improve levels of physical fitness and cardiovascular health through its innovative results-based fitness programs.

Tailored to each participant’s personal fitness level, the resort fitness phenomenon combines science and technology.

The mix of cardiovascular and resistance training is tracked through heart rate monitors, providing real-time performance data on the screens and through the Orangetheory app.

Fitness fans are invited to take a tour of the state-of-the-art facilities from Saturday, May 8, before the official launch on Monday, May 24.

A limited number of discounted, presale Founder memberships are available for those looking to reserve their spot before the opening date, and visitors are encouraged to try a free class.

The news follows the successful launch of East Midlands Orangetheory’s first branch in Derby in October 2019. The US-based fitness franchise has seven other locations across the UK.

Ahead of the Nottingham launch, Studio Director Alistair Hinchliffe said: “Orangetheory is about building community and providing that ‘local gym’ feel. We like to seek out less populated but prosperous urban areas, offering innovative plans that support the local environment.

“Nottingham is a fantastic place for this; it has an active music, arts and culture scene, with a vibrant landscape of cafes, bars and businesses. This is exactly the type of city we like to integrate into.

“We are really excited to bring the Orangetheory Fitness concept to Nottingham, to create a new wellness community in the city and to support its local businesses and shopping streets. “

Before opening week, May 10-24, members will be able to benefit from free wellness and goal-setting consultations, with classes scheduled to start from Monday, May 24.

With a range of discounts available, those who book early will be able to access big savings.

The studio will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily from May 8. From July, classes will start at 6 a.m. with the last class at 8 p.m. each day. To reserve your spot, visit or call 0115 677 3416.
