OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) – The exercise trainer just opened in West Omaha. They say their business is the perfect model for these turbulent times, and that they are successful because their smart, high-tech fitness studio makes training easy.
The exercise trainer is a studio by appointment only and can only accommodate a few people at a time.
What sets them apart? They use computers and robots instead of dumbbells and treadmills.
“The equipment will learn your abilities and adapt to your strengths and weaknesses, customizing a workout to suit you,” said owner Sommer Hahn. “This gives you immediate, real-time feedback as you do your set of exercises, allowing our trainers to ensure that every second you spend in our studio is maximized.”
Each person has a code they type in and the machine adjusts the training to each person’s strengths and weaknesses in real time.
“So there’s a lot of tension when you push and pull,” said coach Blair Benton. “You feel it in your abs when you crack; it’s a great workout for your arms and abs. “
You only need to train twice a week and each workout is only 20 minutes long.
How does it compare to a one hour workout? The big difference is that your muscles are always engaged, pushing you to hit your maximum heart rate.
“This eliminates the downtime that sometimes occurs in a traditional gym environment, where you have to guess what weight is most appropriate to maximize your effort,” Hahn said.
Hahn says it’s perfect for people who don’t traditionally like going to the gym and for busy people who don’t have a lot of time to spend in the gym.
Sommer says it’s the state’s only high-tech fitness studio.
They focus on strength training. They each give two free personal training sessions to try them out.
